936 Japanese Bronze Model of an Oxherd and Ox, late Meiji period, signed Seiya Saku (Workshop of Genryusai Seiya), the ox modeled walking steadily, with bundles of firewood strapped to its back, ahead of the herdsman walking with a stick in one hand and carrying a wide-brimmed hat over one shoulder, with a naturalistically styled base, impressed with a three-character "Seiya Saku" mark, on a carved hardwood stand. h. 9", w. 22", d. 11"
